Q1- What techniques of persuasion and influence do they use?
Q2- How do they target their audience?

Advert 1 - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=anwlpTgbQTE (Nike TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL)

A1- The techniques in the advert that make you want to buy the product, is the Actual advert itself. It is an ad about a footballer playing for a small club, who rises up and plays for country. It’s a really good, intense, from the view of the player advert. Its really good because you feel like you are the player, and it makes you feel like, you could do this, and become great, because of Nike. The camera moves with the player, where he goes, and when he plays the match you see other famous footballers from different teams, and this makes you almost excited to be the player with them. The shot is constantly the same, and the colours don’t matter. It’s the speed of the movement and correctness of the vision that makes the advert very good.

A2- It is targeted at football player, as well as any sports player, or people interested in sports. The ad really works at targeting them, and is a great bit of media work. They target their audience by constantly on the theme of sport and showing a lot of football being played.

Advert 2 - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=FGngcQb_0qg (Honda THE COG)

A1- This advert, is the chain reaction, very famous Honda ad. IT is of lots of car parts, moving slowly, in a cycle to finally make the car move, but it looks so good, flows perfectly and is a brilliant advert. The shot tracks sideways, following the chain of events that happen. The room is a normal and bland room, but whats happening is not so it’s a good contrast. There aren’t any very clear persuasion tricks for buying Honda, apart from that the advert is so memorable, as are all or their other ads. This may or would make you want to buy Honda.

A2- The advert is targeted at people who can drive, but I feel at everyone, it is a piece of art in a way, and for everyone to enjoy and remember, so there is no main target audience.

Advert 3 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQ3d3KigPQM (The T-Mobile Dance)

A1- The advert is exciting, and because you know it is in Liverpool St station it makes you feel part of the London community. It is called ‘Life’s For Sharing’ And that’s what the advert really shows. It brings a sense of community to T-Mobile which is what all phone companies want. And people will remember the advert.

A2- They don’t really target any particular audience, because phones are targeted at everyone, so the fact they have so many people dancing may mean they ARE targeting it at EVERYONE.
Advert 4 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVwWBNfDtY8 (Guinness Hands)

A1- The advert persuades you to buy the drink because Guinness is black and white and so is the advert. As well as that it also is a long advert and the slogan is good things come to those who wait. The advert is very well done and people will like it because it hasn’t been done before and is new and cool.

A2- They target their audience by using the black and white colours, and by making the advert long and innovative, so people drinking this will also feel cool. Its basically a cool advert so people will buy the drink.

Advert 5 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ae3tFI8wXE (Nike Courage)

A1- This advert Is amazing, beautiful, and has some of histories most amazing moments in it. So it sells you Nike by showing you these moment. Its almost selling you some of the world, because the music and images make you feel so happy, and amazed that you want to buy the product for that reason.

A2- The advert is very clever because it is targeted at everyone and anyone anywhere, so they make you buy the product because you feel like a citizen of the world. And feel you need Nike.

Nicole Kidman Channel Advert

This is a good advert as it catchs the correct audiences attention. Using Nicole Kidman as the main character advertising the perfume as if its a film helps relate to the sort of people that would use the perfume and seen films she has acted in and are interested in her. Because of the use of Nicole Kidman this is attracting older working women that are interested in designer goods.

dracula but not propper one

to be fair - this is basically what we want to do so yeah

the shining spoof

group 4 is too sick

our first advert, filmed inside the studio is a spoof of harry potter. we haven't decided on characters but we have decided a short plot for the story. basically someone will be playing harry potter, we will dress him up in harry potter clothes, probs from a party shop and a magic wand. there will be other people in the background dressed in harry potter magic clothes. harry will move his wond and say some magic word and then it will change to a shot of nothing, but we will edit it so a bottle of classic appears, and the voice over will say - classic, its magic, as those words appear on the screen

our second advert will be filmed somewhere outside the studio, and we have 2 ideas, one of them is to do a spoof of the shining 'heres johnny' sequence, but we will say 'heres classic' instead. Joe BB will be playing Jack Torrance, and we will have to use a door, or piece of wood that is not needed by the school, and something other than an axe, mainly cos we don't want joe murdering no one, but also cos its probs illegal. it would be a very short but affective ad. our second idea is too do a spoof of dracula, where wesley would be playing dracula, and pop out of a coffin, wearing tuxedo and that, and a cape, with painted white face. basics just a vampire, and will say - 'i vaant a bottle of classic' instead of i vaant to suck your blood. hahahahha isn't it hilarious. no. but it should work.

much love - wesley, grace and josie who is "ill"

4 rough ideas - the 2 above AAANNNDDD:

advert idea 3 - Scarface advert, we would use any person and dress him up in scarface clothes, set up the scene to look like scarface and have him walk in with a classic and go 'say hello to my little friend'

advert idea 4 - et classic advert would be the scene where et says 'i'll be right here' and touches elliot. instead et would touch the bottle of classic and elliot would drink it. the trouble with this is that we can really get anyone who looks like et or a kid to drink the classic so we cant really do it.

heres our 4 adverts
