Q1- What techniques of persuasion and influence do they use?
Q2- How do they target their audience?

Advert 1 - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=anwlpTgbQTE (Nike TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL)

A1- The techniques in the advert that make you want to buy the product, is the Actual advert itself. It is an ad about a footballer playing for a small club, who rises up and plays for country. It’s a really good, intense, from the view of the player advert. Its really good because you feel like you are the player, and it makes you feel like, you could do this, and become great, because of Nike. The camera moves with the player, where he goes, and when he plays the match you see other famous footballers from different teams, and this makes you almost excited to be the player with them. The shot is constantly the same, and the colours don’t matter. It’s the speed of the movement and correctness of the vision that makes the advert very good.

A2- It is targeted at football player, as well as any sports player, or people interested in sports. The ad really works at targeting them, and is a great bit of media work. They target their audience by constantly on the theme of sport and showing a lot of football being played.

Advert 2 - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=FGngcQb_0qg (Honda THE COG)

A1- This advert, is the chain reaction, very famous Honda ad. IT is of lots of car parts, moving slowly, in a cycle to finally make the car move, but it looks so good, flows perfectly and is a brilliant advert. The shot tracks sideways, following the chain of events that happen. The room is a normal and bland room, but whats happening is not so it’s a good contrast. There aren’t any very clear persuasion tricks for buying Honda, apart from that the advert is so memorable, as are all or their other ads. This may or would make you want to buy Honda.

A2- The advert is targeted at people who can drive, but I feel at everyone, it is a piece of art in a way, and for everyone to enjoy and remember, so there is no main target audience.

Advert 3 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQ3d3KigPQM (The T-Mobile Dance)

A1- The advert is exciting, and because you know it is in Liverpool St station it makes you feel part of the London community. It is called ‘Life’s For Sharing’ And that’s what the advert really shows. It brings a sense of community to T-Mobile which is what all phone companies want. And people will remember the advert.

A2- They don’t really target any particular audience, because phones are targeted at everyone, so the fact they have so many people dancing may mean they ARE targeting it at EVERYONE.
Advert 4 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVwWBNfDtY8 (Guinness Hands)

A1- The advert persuades you to buy the drink because Guinness is black and white and so is the advert. As well as that it also is a long advert and the slogan is good things come to those who wait. The advert is very well done and people will like it because it hasn’t been done before and is new and cool.

A2- They target their audience by using the black and white colours, and by making the advert long and innovative, so people drinking this will also feel cool. Its basically a cool advert so people will buy the drink.

Advert 5 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ae3tFI8wXE (Nike Courage)

A1- This advert Is amazing, beautiful, and has some of histories most amazing moments in it. So it sells you Nike by showing you these moment. Its almost selling you some of the world, because the music and images make you feel so happy, and amazed that you want to buy the product for that reason.

A2- The advert is very clever because it is targeted at everyone and anyone anywhere, so they make you buy the product because you feel like a citizen of the world. And feel you need Nike.

Adverts would not copy on, Sorry - Wesley
